ÇOCUK DOSTU TOPLUM VE ÇOCUK DOSTU TURİZM: NASIL BİR İLİŞKİ? (CHILD FRIENDLY COMMUNITY and CHILD FRIENDLY TOURISM: WHAT KIND of a RELATIONSHIP)

Abstract

Dünya genelinde aile dostu turizm ve çocuk dostu turizmin hedef kitlesi genellikle gelir düzeyi orta ve üstü olan ailelerdir. Oysa düşük gelirli ailelerin de sosyal turizmin bir uzantısı olarak turizm pazarına katılabilmesiyle uyumlu bir toplum oluşturulması yanı sıra farklı sosyoekonomik durumdaki aileler ve farklı kültürler arasında karşılıklı anlayış ve empati geliştirerek dünya barışına katkı sağlanabilir. Bu nedenlerle gerek ülke, gerekse şehir ve işletmeler açısından aile ve çocuk dostu turizmde başarılı olmak için konuya ilişkin kavramların ve aralarındaki ilişkilerin incelenmesi gerekir. Çocuk Dostu Toplum veya Çocuk Dostu Şehirler UNICEF’in Çocuk Hakları Sözleşmesi çerçevesinde düzenlenmiş ortamlardır. Çocuk Dostu Turizm ise aile turizmi bağlamında gerçekleşen turizm faaliyeti olup, turizm işletmelerinin ve içinde bulundukları ortamların çocuk dostu olarak düzenlenmiş olmasını gerektirir. Kavramsal bir nitelik taşıyan çalışmada çocuk, çocuk dostu olmak, çocuk dostu toplum ve çocuk dostu turizm kavramları ve aralarındaki ilişkiler incelenerek öneriler sunulmaktadır.
