Abstract
Destination management models are the main focus of this study; thus, literature were reviewed and the models were analysed in this field. Concepts of sustainable tourism and destination were evaluated along with models that were developed sustainable destination management on islands. Data gathered from stakeholders by surveys, interviews and direct observation methods, were analyzed with the help of SPSS and LISREL software packages. A “vine model” has been developed according to the findings for sustainable destination management of Bozcaada. ort his purpose, barriers, problems and ways of solutions related to sustainable tourism were predicted with their institutional bodies. Abstract
Destinasyon yönetim modelleri bu araştırmanın temel inceleme alanı olup, bu alanda literatür taraması yapılmış ve önemli modeller analiz edilmiştir. Sürdürülebilir turizm ve destinasyon kavramları; adalar için geliştirilen sürdürülebilir destinasyon yönetimi modelleriyle beraber değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışmanın alan araştırması için, paydaşlardan anket, görüşme ve destinasyondan doğrudan gözlem yöntemleriyle elde edilen veriler, SPPS ve LISREL paket programları yardımıyla analiz edilmiştir. Bulgulardan yola çıkarak Bozcaada’nın sürdürülebilir destinasyon yönetimi için “asma” modeli geliştirilmiştir. Bu amaçla sürdürülebilirliğin önündeki engeller, sorunlar ve buna ilişkin çözüm yolları, kurumsal yapılarıyla birlikte öngörülmüştür Model, Bozcaada için hem sürdürülebilir turizme geçiş, hem de ideal sürdürülebilir destinasyon yönetimini önermektedir
