In this article it is aimed to analyze the socioeconomic situation of the three districts of Bursa based on 1845 Temettuat Registers. The study is, firstly, going to deal with the period in which Temettuat registers were implemented. This part of the study deals with the question of why Ottoman statesmen implemented these surveys. Then the contents of the registers are briefly introduced. The following part will be about the significance of the registers for the social and economic history of the Ottoman Empire. The last and crucial part of the study is devoted to the comparative analysis of the three districts, Timurtaş Paşa, Veled-i Kurt and Bulgarlar, which respectively populated with Muslim, Armenian and Greek people.
Bu makale 1845 tarihli Temettuat Defterleri üzerinden Bursa’nın üç mahallesinin ekonomik ve sosyal durumlarını incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Tarihsel bir veri olarak Temettuat defterlerinin Osmanlı ekonomik ve sosyal tarihi konusunda araştırmacıya sunacağı imkânları doğru bir şekilde değerlendirmek için tahrirlerin yapılış amacının bilinmesi gereklidir. Bu nedenle çalışma öncelikle Temettuat tahrirlerini ait olduğu tarihsel bağlama yerleştirmekle işe başlayacaktır. Akabinde defterlerin muhtevası hakkında kısa bir bilgi verilecektir. Takip eden bölüm bahsi geçen defterlerin Osmanlı Devleti’nin sosyal ve ekonomik tarihi açısından ehemmiyeti ve araştırmacıya sunacağı imkânlar üzerinedir. Çalışmada son olarak Bursa’nın Müslüman, Ermeni ve Rum nüfustan oluşan Timurtaş Paşa, Veled-i Kurt ve Bulgarlar mahalleleri ilgili defterlerde yer alan veriler doğrultusunda demografik, ekonomik ve sosyal durum açılarından karşılaştırmalı olarak analiz edilecektir.
