Abstract

Her test öncesinde kişilerin dinlenik kalp atım hızları (KAHdinlenik) ölçüldü. Verilerin analizi için ilk olarak dağılım incelendi. Normal dağılım gösteren verilerde Tekrarlı Ölçümlerde Varyans Analizi, normal dağılım göstermeyen verilerde ise Friedman Testi uygulandı. Bulgulara göre menstrual döngünün farklı fazlarında WAnT ölçümleri öncesinde alınan KAHdinlenik ve WAnT testlerinden elde edilen mutlak ve rölatif zirve, ortalama ve minimum güç değerlerinin ve güçteki yüzdelik düşüş değerlerinin hiçbirinde anlamlı farka ulaşılamadı (p= 0,086 - p= 0,895). Sonuçlar incelendiğinde WAnT ile ölçülen anaerobik güç değerlerinin menstrual döngünün foliküler, ovulasyon ve luteal fazlarında değişiklik göstermediği söylenebilir

THE INVESTIGATION OF ANAEROBIC POWER VALUES ACCORDING TO MENSTRUAL CYCLE PHASES IN SEDENTARY WOMEN

Year 2016, Volume: 14 Issue: 2, 191 - 198, 01.08.2016

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to examine anaerobic power values according to phases of menstrual cycle. A total of 9 sedentary women with the average age of 22.22 ± 1.39 years, the body height of 165.20 ± 6.09 cm, the body weight of 57.28 ± 9.41 kg and the percent body fat of 26.47 ± 3.66 participated in the study voluntarily. First, the body composition was evaluated by using bioelectrical impedance analysis. After that, anaerobic power values were determined with the use of Wingate Anaerobic Power Test (WAnT) during the follicular, ovulation, and luteal phases of menstrual cycle. Resting heart rates (HR resting) of the individuals were measured before every single test. At first, the distribution was examined to analyse the data. Repeated Measures Variance analysis was applied for the data which showed normal distribution, and Friedman test was applied for the data which did not. In accordance with the findings, no significant differences could be reached in the HR resting values taken prior to the WAnT tests, and in any of either absolute or relative peak, average, and minimum power values or power drop values of WAnT during the different phases of menstrual cycle (p= 0.086 - p= 0.895). As a result, it can be inferred that the anaerobic power values taken by using WAnT do not differ during the follicular, ovulation, and luteal phases of menstrual cycle
