The aim of the current study is to examine if self-efficacy perceptions and stressors of football referees have an effect on their job performance. In the current study, descriptive and correlational survey model of quantitative method was used. The study group of the study consists of totally 255 active football referees. As data collection tool, demographic information form developed by the researcher, “Referee Self-Efficacy Scale” adapted into Turkish with reliability and validity study by Karaçam and Pulur (2017), and “Stress Resources of Football Referees Scale” and “Referee Job Performance Scale” developed by Koca and Yıldız (2018) were used. In the data analysis, Independent T test and Pearson correlation analysis were used for the values displaying normal distribution whereas Kruskal Wallis H test was preferred for the ones that do not display normal distribution. As a result of the obtained findings, it is determined that the physical efficacy, game knowledge, decision-making, pressure and communication subscales of referee self-efficacy sale have a positive and medium level significant correlation with the co-dependent variable which is referee job performance. The external factors, social factors and individual factors subscales of referee stressors scale have a positive and medium level significant correlation with co-dependent variable which is referee job performance. It is seen that external factors, social factors and individual factors subscales affect referee job performance significantly. These results show that if the self-efficacy of football referees is high, their job performance is positively affected; and in case the referee stressors are decreased, their job performances can increase.
