Bu çalışmada Türk keman okulunun oluşum ve gelişim sürecine ve bu süreçte önemli rol oynadığıdüşünülen Türk ve yabancı keman sanatçı-eğitimcilerine yer verilmiştir. Osmanlı’daBatı Müziğine olan ilgi III. Selim (1761-1808) dönemine rastlamaktadır. Tanzimat’la (1839-1876) başlayan batılılaşma sürecinde Klasik Batı Müziğinin profesyonel anlamda eğitimi,1826 yılında II. Mahmut’un (1785-1839) isteğiyle kurulan askeri bando ve 1831’de kurulanMuzika-i Humayun Mektebi (Padişahın Müzik Topluluğu Okulu) ile başlamıştır. 1846 yılındaMuzıka-i Humayun Yaylı Çalgılar Orkestrasını kurmak ve öğrencilere keman dersi vermeküzere Avrupa’dan davet edilen yabancı sanatçı-eğitimciler, keman eğitiminin okullaşma süreciiçerisinde ilk sayılabilecek çalışmaları başlatmışlardır. Daha sonra Cumhuriyet’in ilanı ilebirlikte açılan müzik eğitimi kurumlarıyla birlikte Türkiye’de yaklaşık yüz altmış yıldır kemanicracısı ve eğitimcisi yetişmektedir.
In this research, the formation and development process of Turkish violin school and Turkish and foreign violin artist-educators who are considered to have a role in this process has been discussed. In Ottoman, the interest to the western music, was started with III. Selim (17611808). In the process of westernization which was started with Tanzimat ; the professional education of Classical Western Music was started with military band and Muzika-i Humayun Mektebi (the School of Sultan’s Music Ensemble) which were founded with II. Mahmut’s demand. In 1846, foreign artist-educators was invited from Europe to found Muzika-i Humayun String Orchestra and to give lessons to the students, was started the studies which can be considered the “first” in the process of professional violin education. Afterwards, with the foundation of Republic and music education institutions, violin artist-educators have been educated for a hundred and sixty years
