HEMİPLEJİK VE DİPLEJİK SEREBRAL PALSİLİ ÇOCUKLARDA GÖVDE KONTROLÜ İLE DENGE ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışmada hemiplejik ve diplejik serebral palsili (SP) çocuklarda denge ve gövde kontrolü arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemek amaçlandı.
Yöntem: Çalışmaya yaşları 5-12 yıl arasında değişen, 30 hemiplejik, 32 diplejik toplam 62 SP tanılı çocuk dahil edildi. Çalışmaya katılan hemiplejik çocukların yaş ortalaması 8,45±2,32 yıl, diplejik çocukların ise 9,03±2,37 yıl idi. Gövde kontrolünü değerlendirmek için Gövde Kontrol Ölçüm Skalası (TCMS) ve dengeyi değerlendirmek için Pediatrik Denge Skalası (PBS) kullanıldı. Gövde kontrolü ile denge arasındaki ilişki Spearman korelasyon testi kullanılarak incelendi.

Sonuçlar: Çalışmanın sonuçlarına göre, hemiplejik çocuklar TCMS tüm alt ölçekleri ve toplam skorları açısından; diplejik çocuklardan istatistiksel olarak daha yüksek puan aldı (p<0,05). Hemiplejik çocukların PBS puanı diplejiklere göre anlamlı olarak daha yüksek bulundu (p<0,05). Hemiplejik SP’li çocuklarda TCMS toplam puanı ile PBS puanı arasında pozitif yönde
iyi derecede korelasyon (r=0,661, p<0,05) bulundu. Diplejik çocuklarda ise TCMS toplam puanı ile PBS puanı arasında pozitif yönde çok iyi derecede korelasyon kaydedildi (r=0,707, p<0,05).

Tartışma: Bu sonuçlar, hemiplejik ve diplejik SP’li çocuklarda gövde kontrolü ile denge arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki olduğunu ortaya koydu. Fizyoterapi ve rehabilitasyon uygulamaları ve değerlendirmeleri sırasında gövde kontrolü ile denge arasındaki ilişkinin göz önünde bulundurulması gerektiği düşünüldü.
