Abstract

Bu çal mada, alt y l önce böbrek nakli yap lan ve sürekli takrolimus, azotioprin, prednizolon tedavisi alan ve üç hafta süre ile devam eden sulu ishal, kar n a r s , halsizlik ve kilo kayb ikâyetleri ile nefroloji klini ine ba vuran 50 ya ndaki bir erkek hastada cyclosporiasis tan mlanm t r. Kinyoun modi ye asit-fast ile boyanm d k örneklerinde Cyclospora ookistleri bulunmu tur. Hastaya bir hafta süreyle trimetoprim/sülfometaksazol 160/800 mg uygulanarak tedavi edilmi tir. Ba kl k sitemi bozuk ki ilerde uzun süren ishal etkenleri aras nda Cyclospora da akla getirilmelidir

Cyclospora Cayetanensis Infection İn A Patient With Renal Transplant

Abstract

In this study, Cyclosporiasis was described in a 50 year-old man who had a renal transplantation six years ago and having treatment with tacrolimus, azathioprine, prednisolone, complained of wasting diarrhea, abdominal pain, weakness and weight loss. Cyclospora oocysts were found in Kinyoun’s modi ed acid fast stained stool samples. The patient was treated with trimethoprim/sulphamethoxazole 160/800 mg for one week. Cyclospora should be considered in immune de cient patient with prolonged diarrhea
