Libyalı bir hastada Hafnia alvei’nin neden olduğu akut gastroenterit olgusu

Abstract

Hafnia alvei, insan izolatlarından nadiren izole edilen ve nadiren patojen olan gram negatif bir basildir. İlk kez 1991 yılında tanımlanan H. alvei’ye bağlı gelişen gastroenterit olgularına dünyanın birçok yerinde rastlanmıştır. Literatürde bu bakterinin etken olduğu mortalite ile seyreden bir enfeksiyon bildirilmemiştir. Bu çalışmada, Libya’dan yurdumuza gelen erkek hastada H. alvei’nin neden olduğu akut gastroenterit olgusunun tedavisi, siprofloksasin 500 mg günde iki kez yedi gün süreyle kullanılmasyla başarılı bir şekilde sonuçlanmıştır

A case of acute gastroenteritis caused by Hafnia alvei in Libyan patient

Abstract

Hafnia alvei is a gram-negative bacterium that is rarely isolated by human isoletes and is seldomly considered as as being pathogenic. The gastroenteritis cases caused by H. alvei identified initially in 1991 have been observed in many places of the world. In this study, treatment of acute gastroenteritis caused by H. alvei, in a male patient coming from Libya to our country, has been successfully treated with ciprofloxacin 500 mg twice daily for seven days
