Sağlık Bakımı İletişim Anketi’nin Türkçe Geçerlik ve Güvenirlik Çalışması

Year 2021, Volume: 2 Issue: 1, 42 - 53, 07.06.2021

Abstract

Turkish Validity and Reliability Study of the Health Care Communication Questionnaire

Year 2021, Volume: 2 Issue: 1, 42 - 53, 07.06.2021

Abstract

Aim: To adapt the Health Care Communication Questionnaire to Turkish and to make its validity and reliability.
Material and Methods: This methodological study was carried out with 130 patients who admitted to the emergency department of a university hospital in Ankara. Data were collected through the patient information form and the HCCQ. The construct validity of the scale was determined by confirmatory factor analysis. Reliability was evaluated for all items and sub-dimensions using Cronbach's Alpha coefficient, equivalent halves (split half) method and item total correlation.
Results: Content validity index value of the scale was found to be 0.91. In the confirmatory factor analysis, fit indices were found as x2 /df=1.75, RMSEA = 0.77, CFI = 0.94, IFI = 0.94, TLI = 0.92, AGFI = 0.82 and GFI = 0.89. The Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient of the scale was found to be 0.83 for the total scale and it was found to vary between 0.65-0.86 for the sub-dimensions.
Conclusion: It has been determined that the 13-item and four-factor structure of the HCCQ is a valid and reliable measurement tool in the Turkish language and culture to evaluate the communication skills of healthcare professionals from the perspective of the patient.
