Abstract

Hemşirelerde göç olgusu, tüm dünyada ve Türkiye’de yıllardır devam etmekte ve giderek artış göstermektedir. Hemşire göçü, tarihsel süreç içinde incelendiğinde özellikle İngiliz kolonilerine gönderilen hemşirelerin arşiv bilgileri önemli bir değere sahiptir. Göç, bazı salgın hastalıklar zamanında durgunluk dönemi geçirmekle beraber; hemşireler, çeşitli nedenler yanında kariyer hareketliliği amacıyla da göç edebilmektedir. Bu yazıda göçün tarihsel süreci, nedenleri, sağlık ve hemşirelik organizasyonları tarafından ele alınışı aktarılmaya çalışılmıştır.

Nurse Immigration From Past To Present

Abstract

The phenomenon of immigration among nurses has been increasing in Turkey as well as in the world over the years. From historical perspective, archieve notes from nurses who were sent to British colonies provide valuable information. Although immigration might slow down over the epidemics and pandemics, nurses continue to immigrate for their career. In this article, historical perspective of immigration, its reasons as well as how this theme was handled through nursing and health associations were discussed.
