Institutions

The Journal accepts manuscripts primarily from authors who are formally affiliated with recognized academic, research, governmental, or industrial institutions (accredited universities, research institutes, governmental research bodies, research laboratories, professional academies, and established industrial research and development organizations) engaged in scholarly activity.

All listed authors must provide (either in their profile or in electronic subscriptions, like OrcID, Scopus etc):

• their current institutional affiliation, 
• an official institutional email address whenever available, 
• and accurate information regarding the institution where the research was conducted or supported. 

Authorship

The Journal follows internationally recognized authorship standards, including the recommendations of the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Authors must have made substantial scholarly contributions to the submitted work and must accept responsibility for the integrity, accuracy, and ethical conduct of the research.

As a matter of editorial policy, the Journal generally does not consider manuscripts submitted solely by individuals identifying themselves as “Independent Researchers”, "Independent Scholars” or equivalent unaffiliated designations. This policy is intended to ensure:

• appropriate institutional oversight, 
• research accountability, 
• compliance with ethical and regulatory standards, 
• transparency of research provenance, 
• and the maintenance of scholarly quality and integrity. 

In exceptional circumstances, the Editor-in-Chief may consider submissions from unaffiliated authors when:

• the scholarly merit of the work is clearly demonstrated, 
• the author can provide verifiable evidence of professional expertise and research integrity, 
• the author provides references (as a “letter to the editor”) from at least two established academics affiliated with recognized higher education or research institutions, supporting the author’s scholarly competence and the credibility of the submitted work,
• and all applicable ethical, legal, and methodological standards can be independently confirmed. 

The Journal reserves the right to request additional documentation regarding institutional affiliation, ethical approval, funding sources, data provenance, or contributor identity at any stage of the editorial or peer-review process. Failure to provide satisfactory verification may result in rejection or withdrawal of the manuscript.

Misrepresentation of institutional affiliation constitutes a serious breach of publication ethics and may result in immediate rejection, retraction, notification of relevant institutions, and other corrective actions deemed appropriate by the Editorial Board.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Usage

Natural language processing tools driven by artificial intelligence (AI) do not qualify as authors, and the journal will screen for them in author lists. The use of AI (for example, to help generate content or images, write code, process data, or for translation) should be disclosed both in cover letters to Editors and in the Disclosure section of manuscripts. TJAA does not consider completely AI-generated or heavily AI-assisted papers for publication. The use of AI-assisted tools for ancillary and technical purposes, including literature search, language refinement, code development, and manuscript preparation or typesetting, is permissible when transparently disclosed in the manuscript.
