The Cultural Geology and Geological Heritage Working Group is one of the working groups of the Chamber of Geological Engineers of Türkiye. The group has been engaged in scientific and professional activities for more than 5 years on the role of geosciences in the formation of cultures, geological heritage, geosites, geoparks and geotourism, which are witnesses of the earth and its changes. The year 2025 will be a year in which workshops and sessions on the geological heritage of some provinces will be organized abundantly. In this context, a Special Issue is planned to be published in the Geological Bulletin of Türkiye. The aim of the special issue is to contribute to the recognition of the natural environment in which we live, to the awareness of geological heritage and the protection of this heritage in society and decision-makers, to the development of protection awareness and to the accumulation of knowledge. We invite the geoscientists who have studies on the above-mentioned subjects to take part in this special issue.
