PES PLANUSU OLAN BİREYLERDE AYAK FONKSİYONU İLE YAŞAM KALİTESİ ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı pes planusu olan yetişkin bireylerde ayak fonksiyonu ile yaşam kalitesi arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesidir.
Yöntem: Bu kesitsel çalışmaya 44 pes planusu olan birey katıldı. Katılımcıların yaş, boy ve ağırlıkları kaydedildikten sonra ağırlıklı ve ağırlıksız naviküler yükseklik ölçüldü. Ayak fonksiyonlarını değerlendirmek için Ayak Fonksiyon İndeksi, yaşam kalitesini değerlendirmek için Nottingham Sağlık Profili kullanıldı. Ayak Fonksiyon İndeksi ile Nottingham Sağlık Profili puanları arasındaki ilişkiyi hesaplamak için Spearman korelasyon analizi kullanıldı.
Bulgular: Katılımcıların yaş ortalaması 30,79±9,95 yıl idi. Sağ ayak için ağırlıklı ve ağırlıksız naviküler yükseklik farkı 0,99±0,14 cm olarak, sol ayak için 1,02±0,13 cm olarak bulundu. Nottingham Sağlık Profili toplam puanı 123,36±94,48 olarak, sağ Ayak Fonksiyon İndeksi toplam puanı 20,13±17,4 olarak, sol Ayak Fonksiyon İndeksi toplam puanı 19,62±17,34 olarak hesaplandı. Nottingham Sağlık Profili toplam puanı ile sağ Ayak Fonksiyon İndeksi toplam puanı (r=0,600; p<0,001) ve sol Ayak Fonksiyon İndeksi toplam puanı (r=0,574; p<0,001) arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ilişki bulundu.
Sonuç: Bu çalışmanın sonuçları, pes planusu olan yetişkin bireylerde ayak fonksiyonları ile yaşam kalitesinin birbiriyle ilişkili olduğunu göstermektedir.
Aim: The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between foot function and quality of life in adults with pes planus.
Method: Forty-four individuals with pes planus participated in this cross-sectional study. After recording the age, height and weight of the participants, weighted and unweighted navicular height was measured. The Foot Function Index was used to assess foot functions, and the Nottingham Health Profile was used to assess quality of life. Spearman correlation analysis was used to calculate the relationship between Foot Function Index and Nottingham Health Profile.
Results: The mean age of the participants was 30.79±9.95 years. The difference in weighted and unweighted navicular height for the right foot was 0.99±0.14 cm, and 1.02±0.13 cm for the left foot. The Nottingham Health Profile total score was 123.36±94.48, the right Foot Function Index total score was 20.13±17.4, and the left Foot Function Index total score was 19.62±17.34. A statistically significant correlation was found between the Nottingham Health Profile total score and the right Foot Function Index total score (r=0.600; p<0.001) and the left Foot Function Index total score (r=0.574; p<0.001).
Conclusion: The results of this study show that foot functions and quality of life are correlated in adults with pes planus.
