Year 2008, Volume: 2 Issue: 1, 244 - 249, 23.03.2008

Abstract

Aim of the study is assessment of the face and neck region trauma patients whom we diagnosed and treated. Fifteen patients who were treated by Ankara Atatürk Training and Research Hospital between 2005-2006 years were included in this study. Diagnostic and therapeutic approaches were evaluated. Four of the patients were knife injury, 3 were gun shot injury, 5 were industrial accident, 2 were traffic accident, and one was home accident. Eight of the patient’s injuries were face injury and the rest 7 were neck injury. Six of the patients were operated under general anesthesia and 7 patients were under local anesthesia. Two patients were treated conservatively. Tricky clinic of the face and head neck penetrating traumas should not be forgotten. Sometimes urgent neck exploration can be life saving at especially penetrating neck region traumas.

Penetran Yüz ve Boyun Yaralanmaları

Year 2008, Volume: 2 Issue: 1, 244 - 249, 23.03.2008

Abstract

Hastaların 4 u bıçak, 3 u ateşli silah, 5’i iş kazası, 2’si trafik kazası ve Ti ev kazası nedenli penetran yaralanmalardır. Vakaların 8’i yüz, geriye kalan 7’si ise boyun yaralanmasıydı. Altı vakaya genel, yedi vakaya lokal anestezi altında müdahale edildi. iki vaka ise konservatif yollarla tedavi edildi. Yüz ve baş-boyun penetran yaralanmalarının aldatıcı kliniği hiçbir zaman unutulmamalıdır. Özellikle boyun bölgesi penetran yaralanmalarda bazen hastanın direkt boyun eksplorasyonuna alınması hayat kurtarıcı olabilir.
