Birinci Basamak Sağlık Hizmetlerinin Sunumunda Teletıp Kullanımı: Bir Literatür Derlemesi

Year 2024, Volume: 9 Issue: 1, 19 - 26, 31.05.2024

Abstract

USAGE OF TELEMEDICINE IN THE PROVISION OF PRIMARY HEALTH SERVICES: A LITERATURE REVIEW

Year 2024, Volume: 9 Issue: 1, 19 - 26, 31.05.2024

Abstract

In the delivery of healthcare services, primary healthcare services occupy a central place in health systems due to giving priority for prevention, easy accessibility, lower costs, and adequate triage capability. Any efforts to further improve primary healthcare services significantly contribute to the enhancement of public health. In this context, increasing quality and cost-effectiveness can be made in the field of preventive healthcare through the use of telemedicine/e-health technologies in the primary healthcare sector. Our aim is to conduct a literature review on studies that incorporate the most accessible and cost-effective areas of telemedicine applications into primary healthcare delivery with the advancement of technology, and to assess the feasibility of using these areas in our countryIn conclusion, through the literature review, it is believed that the integration of primary healthcare services with telemedicine, particularly for chronic diseases that impose a significant disease burden, pediatric and psychiatric conditions, palliative care patients, and patients unable to manage their own triage due to health anxiety, can further improve health services.
