This study aims to investigate the effects of divorce on women and their perspectives on the concepts of marriage and divorce after their divorce. As a qualitative research method, the interview is employed in this study. Interviews were conducted with twelve divorced women by using semi-structured interview form. The obtained data were interpreted with descriptive analysis method. Besides the demographic information of these women, their marriage process, the cause of their divorce, their divorce processes, the problems they faced after their divorce and their perspective on getting married again were determined. In addition, the women were asked to describe the concepts of 'marriage' and 'divorce'. The divorced women participating in the study were observed to have experienced disappointments during and after the divorce. It was observed that the moods of women after the divorce were negative; they cried when they were alone, they became introvert, they felt guilty, they lost weight, they couldn’t focus, they suffered from the lack of motivation, they were lost in their thoughts, etc. The study concluded that the processes during and after the divorce are hard for women to overcome, and the women need psychological support as well as familial and social support in order to overcome these processes in a healthy way.
