Bu doğrultuda araştırmada; Mikhail Bakhtin’in Karnavalesk Kuramı bağlamında YouTube izleyicilerinin “İnci Taneleri” dizisini nasıl alımladıklarını ortaya çıkartmak amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda çalışma nitel araştırma türünde hazırlanarak, MAXQDA aracılığıyla elde edilen 87.594 yorum içerik analizi yöntemiyle kodlanmış ve analizleri gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmada elde edilen sonuçlara göre, YouTube izleyicilerinin dizideki karnavalesk unsurlara paralel şekilde yorumlar geliştirdikleri, M. Bakhtin’in belirttiği “Tepetaklak Dünya” kavramı başlığında kullanıcı yorumlarının ağırlık kazandığı belirlenmiştir. Ayrıca, izleyicilerin dizi hakkındaki pozitif alımlamasında senaryo, negatif düzeyde ise kadın bedeninin ifşası, ahlaki dejenerasyon ve kültürel normlara uymama başlıkları öne çıkmıştır.</p>

<p>The rapid digital transformation worldwide has led television productions to embrace social media platforms, fostering interactive environments and cultivating a new language and culture of communication with active audiences. Contemporary television series, in particular, are brought together with their viewers on social media creating a carnivalesque atmosphere through audience commentary. Within this carnival space, active viewers freely express their opinions about the series, engaging in unrestrained discourse that transcends dominant societal values and norms. A review of the literature on the reception of carnivalesque elements by television audiences reveals that existing studies are primarily limited to textual analysis of the content. This study, therefore, aims to investigate how YouTube viewers interpret the TV series &quot;İnci Taneleri&quot; within the framework of Mikhail Bakhtin’s Carnivalesque Theory. To achieve this, the study adopted a qualitative research approach. A total of 87.594 comments were collected and analyzed using content analysis, facilitated by MAXQDA software. The findings indicate that YouTube viewers generate comments that parallel the carnivalesque elements present in the series, with a significant portion of user comments aligning with M. Bakhtin&#039;s concept of the ‘world upside down’. Furthermore, the study reveals that viewers&#039; positive reception of the series is primarily attributed to the screenplay, while negative sentiments revolve around the objectification of the female body, moral degeneration, and nonconformity to cultural norms.</p></trans-abstract>
