This study caried on the purpose of determining whether such variablesas sex, age and socio-economic level of children with and without divorcedparents and the age when children with divorced parents separated from their parents, and the frequency of their seeingtheir parents would create and differences on children's depression levels. The study was conducted on a total of 150 children attending the fourthand fifth year classes of primaryschools who had and did not have broken parents with varying socio-economic levels. In the study, "The PersonalInformation Form" and "Children's Depression Inventory" forChildren were used as a means of obtaining data. The data was then subject toan assessment by means of "the variance analysis" method. As a resultof the study, it was found out thatsignificant difference was created by the state of being broken and sex (p< 0. 01) whereas no importantdifference appeared to have been caused by age and socio-economic level and,for children who had broken parents, the age of separation from their parentsas well as the frequency of visiting their parents.
Araştırma,boşanmış ebeveyne sahip olan ve olmayan çocukların cinsiyet, yaş,sosyo-ekonomik düzey değişkenlerinin boşanmış ebeveyne sahip çocukların isebirlikte yaşadığı ebeveyn, anne ve babadan ayrılık yaşı, anne ve babayı görmesıklıklarının çpocukların depresyon düzeyleri üzerinde farklılık yaratıpyaratmadığının belirlenmesi amacıyla planlanmıştır. Araştırma farklısosyo-ekonomik düzeydeki ilkokulların dört ve beşinci sınıflarına devam edenboşanmış ebeveyne sahip olan ve olmayan toplam 150 çocuk üzerindeyürütülmüştür. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak “Kişisel Bilgi Formu” ile“Çocuklar için Depresyon Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen veriler varyansanalizi yöntemi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda ebeveynininboşanma durumunun ve cinsiyetin anlamlı bir farklılık yarattığı belirlenirken(p < 0. 01) yaş, sosyo-ekonomikdüzey, boşanmış ebeveyne sahip olan çocuklarda ise birlikte yaşadığı ebeveyn,anne ve babayı görme sıklığının anlamlı bir farklılığa neden olmadığısaptanmıştır (p < 0. 01)
