Abstract

Ayvansaraylı Hafız Hüseyin Efendi İstanbul camileri hakkındaki Hadîküt'l-cevâmi' adlı eseri ile tanınan bir osmanlı yazarıdır. Babası Hacı İsmail Ağa IV. Mehmet'in kızı Hatice Sultan'ın teberdarlarının kethudası idi, 21 Haziran 1752'de vefat etmişti. Hafız Hüseyin Efendi kendisini Ayvansaray'da Toklu Dede mahallesinden Dergâh-ı Âli yeniçerileri sekbanlarının 15. Ortasına mensup, aynı zamanda aynı semtteki Toklu İbrahim Dede Mescidi imamı Halil Efendi'nin çömezi olarak tanıtır. Temmuz 1787'de ölmüştür. Muhtemelen babası ve üstâdı Halil Efendi gibi Toklu İbrahim Dede haziresinde defn olunmuştur.
