<p>Kissebükü city was founded in Kissebükü bay, which is one of the intersection points of Keramos and Halicarnassus, two important settlements of the ancient period on the Bodrum peninsula. The early settlement area of the city, which dates back to the Archaic period, is the acropolis. All of the buildings along the shoreline belong to the Late Antique settlement, which operated from the mid-5th century until the late 7th century. Building No. 4 shows a vertical rectangular plan in the south-north direction on the coastal line. To the south of the building is the first additional space with a transverse rectangular arrangement. To the south of the first additional space, a 2nd additional space consisting of two sections was added against the existing façade wall. The cistern adjacent to the north-east of Building No. 4 has a vaulted rectangular form. A storage unit that made the east wall of the cistern its west wall is adjacent to the northeast of the cistern. The finds recovered during the excavations from the 1st annex, the main space, the cistern and the water channel include a wide variety of metals, coins, bone objects, glass, ceramics and animal bones. The building complex no. 4 has a shop where all kinds of animals were slaughtered and butchered as well as a butchery where they were sold, and the second floors, which do not exist today, were organized as daily living spaces and used with two functions as in Sardis and Cilician residences. The general architectural arrangement of the building complex and all the artifacts recovered from the spaces indicate that the activities here took place between the 6th and 7th centuries.</p></trans-abstract>
