Okur merkezli kuramların başında gelen duygusal etki kuramı, incelenen edebî eserde edinilen zevkin ve estetik anlayışın taşıdığı anlama yoğunlaşır. Kurama göre sanat eserinin temel amaçlarından biri okuyucuda estetik haz uyandırmasıdır. Edebî eserin taşıdığı anlam, tıpkı verdiği estetik haz gibi kişiden kişiye değişkenlik gösterebilir. Duygusal etki kuramına göre okuyucunun edebî eser aracılığıyla edindiği haz özneldir. Bunun nedeni ise okurun kültürel birikimi, zevk anlayışı ve zihniyet dünyasıyla açıklanabilir. Ancak kuram, okurdan edebî eserden arzu edilen zevki tam anlamıyla hissedilebilmesi için şair kadar donanımlı olmasını bekler. Cumhuriyet Dönemi Türk şiirinin müstakil şairlerinden Behçet Necatigil, çağdaşlarından farkını ortaya koyan özgün şiirleriyle Türk edebiyatında sağlam bir yer edinir. Evler eserinde bir araya getirdiği şiirleri de bu özgünlüğün bir parçasıdır. Behçet Necatigil şiir gücünü, bireysel yalnızlıktan yola çıkarak ev ve aile kavramları üzerine yoğunlaştırarak gösterir. Duygusal etki kuramı, okur merkezli bir kuram özelliği taşıdığından bu şiirler, Necatigil’in yaşamı ve zihniyeti göz önünde bulundurularak kurama göre yorumlanmaya çalışılacaktır. Necatigil’in Evler eserinde yer alan “Evler” başlıklı şiirlerin I. A. Richards’ın duygusal etki kuramı bağlamında ele alınıp yorumlanması bu çalışmanın ana konusudur.
As one of the leading reader-oriented approaches, the theory of affective response focuses on the meaning conveyed through the aesthetic pleasure and appreciation experienced in a literary work. According to the theory, one of the primary aims of an artwork is to evoke aesthetic delight in the reader. The meaning of a literary text, like the aesthetic pleasure it provides, may vary from person to person. In this respect, the pleasure gained through a literary work is subjective, shaped by the reader’s cultural background, taste, and intellectual world. Nevertheless, the theory presupposes that the reader should be as equipped as the poet in order to fully experience the desired aesthetic impact of the work. Behçet Necatigil, one of the distinctive poets of the Republican Era in Turkish literature, secured a firm place in Turkish poetry with his original works that distinguish him from his contemporaries. The poems compiled in his work Evler are a reflection of this originality. Necatigil demonstrates his poetic strength by focusing on the notions of home and family, rooted in individual solitude. Since the theory of affective response is essentially reader-centered, these poems will be interpreted within the framework of Necatigil’s life and intellectual world. The central concern of this study is the interpretation of the poems titled “Evler” in Necatigil’s Evler in the context of I. A. Richards’s theory of affective response.
