Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to the Turkish Journal of Analytical Chemistry are subject to a peer review process to ensure scientific quality, originality, and relevance to the field of analytical chemistry.

Each submission is initially evaluated by the Editor-in-Chief or an Associate Editor with respect to the journal’s scope, originality, ethical compliance, and methodological soundness. Manuscripts deemed unsuitable at this stage may be rejected without external review.

Manuscripts passing the initial evaluation are reviewed by at least two independent expert reviewers. During the peer review process, the identities of the reviewers are kept confidential. Author information is transmitted to reviewers in the form submitted by the authors, without editorial anonymization.

Based on the reviewers’ reports, the Editor makes one of the following decisions: acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection. In cases where revisions are requested, authors are expected to respond to all reviewer comments in a clear and detailed manner.

The journal adheres to the ethical principles and best practices recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All manuscripts and review reports are treated as confidential documents.

The Turkish Journal of Analytical Chemistry aims to complete the peer review process as efficiently as possible, depending on reviewer availability and the extent of revisions required.
