Abstract
This study aimed to develop and evaluate a novel Cloud Mobile Clinic Platform (CMCP) for university students, leveraging big data analytics and cloud computing to integrate online services — including personalized exercise prescriptions, injury prevention, and teleconsultation — with offline support from campus hospital resources, within an O2O framework aimed at enhancing physical fitness and preventing or treating sports-related injuries. The overall framework of Cloud Clinic was discussed using the interview method, and the system design method was applied to design the framework of PC terminal platform, mobile APP and WeChat subplatform to complete the platform construction. The construction of “cloud clinic” in universities will be mainly based on “online and offline combination”. The CMCP represents a feasible and innovative approach to address the declining physical fitness of Chinese university students. By facilitating evidence-based exercise guidance, timely injury intervention, and personalized rehabilitation within an integrated O2O ecosystem supported by campus infrastructure, it offers a scalable model for promoting adolescent health and advancing the integration of sports and medicine in the digital health era.
Ethical Statement
Ethics Committee Approval Statement (Approval Code: SWU-PE-20241211)
The study entitled “Cloud Mobile Clinic Platform (CMCP) for University Students: An O2O Integration of Online Exercise Prescription and Campus-Based Medical Services,” conducted by Guanchong Li (Institute of Sport Science, College of Physical Education, Southwest University, Chongqing, China), has received formal approval from the Southwest University College of Physical Education Research Ethics Committee. All procedures were carried out in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki and the university’s ethical guidelines for research involving human participants. Written informed consent was obtained from all participants (university students and medical staff). Privacy and confidentiality were strictly safeguarded throughout the study.
Thanks
We would like to thank all of the researchers who kindly provided us with the data necessary to complete this study. All participants have provided written consent.
