                            <p>Nursing is a profession consisting of theoretical content and clinical practice. Nursing education, at the level that can enable students to undertake the mentioned roles; cognitive, affective and psychomotor learning. It is not always possible to gain appropriate clinical experience because of limited clinical practice, shorter hospital stay, and less time in the clinic due to hospital-related problems. Simulation is an active educational strategy that creates realistic clinical situations and enables students to practice and learn in a safe environment. Thus, the student can learn in a safe environment how to manage this clinical situation in actual practice. If more applications are needed, the student can repeat on the simulator. Simulation also allows students to develop their critical thinking skills and reflect on their practice. In this review, the importance of using of simulation in nursing education is explained.</p></trans-abstract>
                                                                                                                                    <abstract><p>Hemşirelik, teorik dersler ve klinik uygulamadan oluşan bir meslektir. Hemşirelik eğitimi, öğrencilerin belirtilen rolleri üstlenmelerini sağlayabilecek düzeyde; bilişsel, duyuşsal ve psikomotor öğrenim alanlarını kapsayan bir eğitim gerektirir. Öğrencilerin; sınırlı klinik uygulama alanları, hastaların hastanelerde daha kısa süreli kalmaları ve hastane ile ilişkili sorunlar gibi nedenlerle klinikte daha az zaman geçirmeleri sonucu uygun klinik deneyimler kazanmaları her zaman mümkün değildir. Simülasyon, öğrencilere gerçekçi klinik durumları oluşturan ve güvenli bir ortamda pratik yapmalarını ve öğrenmelerini sağlayan aktif bir eğitim stratejisidir. Öğrenci böylece, bu klinik durumun gerçek uygulamada nasıl yönetileceğini güvenli bir ortamda öğrenebilir. Daha fazla uygulamaya ihtiyaç duyulduğunda ise öğrenci, simülatör üzerinde tekrarlayabilir. Simülasyon aynı zamanda öğrencilerin eleştirel düşünme becerilerini geliştirerek uygulamalarına yansıtmalarını sağlar. Bu makalede, hemşirelik eğitiminde simülasyon kullanımının önemi anlatılmaktadır.</p></abstract>
