SOSYAL HİZMETTE İYİLİK HALİ KAVRAMI

Abstract

Tarih boyunca insanlar yaşamlarını mümkün olan en
“iyi” biçimde sürdürmeye çalışmışlardır. Tarımda, teknolojide, insanlar
tarafından oluşturulan sağlık, eğitim, yönetim, kent gibi tüm sistemlerde nihai
amaç hep daha iyiye ulaşmak olmuştur. İyi’yi sağlayacak durumların, oluşların
ne olduğu ise toplumdan topluma ve zamanın ruhuna göre farklılık göstermiştir. Sosyal
hizmet mesleği de temelde insanoğlunun iyilik haline ulaşma çabalarının bir
sonucudur. Her ne kadar mesleğin ortaya çıkışı yoksulluk içinde yaşayan bireylerin
bu yoksulluktan kurtulmasını amaçlamak olsa da ilerleyen dönemlerde toplumdaki
her birey, grup ve topluluk için iyilik halinin sağlanması mesleğin temel
noktalarından biri olmuştur. Hatta günümüzde tüm nüfus grupları için iyilik
halinin sağlanması artık bir hak olarak görülmekte hatta çoğu zaman yasalarla
güvence altına alınmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın temel amacı iyilik hali kavramının
ne olduğunu irdelemek ve sosyal hizmet literatüründe iyilik hali kavramının
neden önemli olduğunu, kavramın hangi boyutları içerdiğini ortaya koymaktır.
Çalışmada öncelikle iyilik hali kavramının nasıl tanımlandığı üzerinde
durulacak, kavramı açıklayan teorilerden söz edilecektir. Sonrasında ise iyilik
halinin sosyal hizmet açısından taşıdığı önem tartışılacaktır.

Well-Being Concept in Social Work Practice

Abstract

Throughout history, people have tried to maintain
their lives in the best possible way. In agricultural, technological,
human-generated health, education, management, urban and all systems, the
ultimate goal has always been better. The conditions to provide ‘good’, what is
happening differed according to the collecting from society and the soul of
time. Social work profession is also a result of the efforts of the human being
to achieve wellbeing.
Although the emergence
of the profession aims to eliminate the individuals living in poverty, in the
later periods, ‘well-being’ for every individual, group and community in
society has been one of the cornerstones of the profession.
Even
today, well-being for all population groups is now regarded as a right and is
often guaranteed by law.
The main aim of this
study is to examine what the concept of well-being is and to show why the
notion of well-being is important in the social work literature and what
dimensions the concept includes.
In the study, first of
all, it will be mentioned how to define the concept of well-being, the theories
explaining the concept.
After that, the
importance of well-being in terms of social work will be discussed.
