Abstract

Language is the symbol of nations. The stages of this symbol in the historical process give us information about the cultural, social areas of nations. Translation, is a science used to transfer this information. Chinese is a language that is seen as the most diffucult to learn and includes its culture intensely. Chinese went through many simplification processes until it took the simplified form. The changes that this language went through until modernization made it diffucult to learn and translate. This caused China to join the scientific age later. The purpose of this study is to introduce the history of Chinese translation in general by considering the reflection of the changes in the Chinese language. In accordance with this purpose, the article examined the changes in the language and the role of translation in the long history of China by using the information obtained from CNKI database and open sources. In this direction, it has been observed that intensive studies have been carried out in every period on the simplification of the language in the country. In addition, it was concluded that the history of Chinese translation was shaped especially and predominantly in line with government policies.

Çin Dili ve Yazılı Çeviri Tarihine Genel Bir Bakış
