Son olarak, köylü Kemal’in karşısına çıkan “şehirli modern insan” imgesiyle birlikte Kemal’in modernlikle ilgili tozpembe hayalleri yıkılır.
In this study, the novel Kemal İle Burak – Cennet Ülkesine Yolculuk (Kemal and Burak – The Travel to the Land of Eden) written for children by Yüksel Pazarkaya, a Turkish writer who immigrated to Germany, was analysed based on imagology. It is attempted to explain how "other” images appear through one's own perceptions in imagology. In this novel, the image of Germany, which is first told through the eyes of a child who has never left his village, is presented to the readers as the dominant image. The second image is the image of the father. According to the main character of the novel, Kemal, Kemal's father, who went to Germany for his family, is a good father, but this father leaves his family without a letter and money. In this respect, Kemal becomes conflicted about his father. The travel is the third image examined in this study for Kemal, who leaves his village for the first time to find his father in Germany. This travel from his village to Germany is quite difficult for a little child. Lastly, Kemal's rosy dreams of modernity are shattered by the image of the modern people in the city who confront the peasant Kemal. In this study, these four images, which are "other" according to Kemal, were examined.
