<p>This study aims to determine the current status of educational and support services provided to children who are identified as gifted or who exhibit gifted characteristics in early childhood education settings, as well as their educational needs. Designed using the case study method, a qualitative research approach, the study involved 17 teachers working in early childhood education settings. The data obtained from the interviews were analyzed under two main headings: the current status and the needs. Regarding the current status, the majority of teachers indicated that they generally increased the number of activities for gifted children or assigned them additional roles, such as helping peers or assisting teachers. They also mentioned inadequacies in the physical and social environments. Under the needs heading, teachers expressed their need for differentiating processes and environments, diagnosis and placement, and support for teachers.</p></trans-abstract>
