Writing Rules:

1. Uludag Journal of Theology is a national, refereed, academic journal published twice a year, in June and December.

2. The journal includes original and translated articles, annotated text publications, research notes, memorial notes, book reviews, and evaluations of scientific events in all fields of social sciences, particularly religious studies, as well as politics, history, sociology, and philosophy.

3. Submitted articles must not have been previously published or accepted for publication elsewhere. Articles produced from doctoral theses and papers presented at scientific events but not yet published can be accepted for publication. In this case, the journal must be informed at the initial submission stage, and the bibliographic information of the thesis/paper should be indicated in the first footnote after the completion of the peer review process. As of 2023, articles derived from master's theses are not accepted for publication.

4. Uludag Journal of Theology endeavours to adhere to its publication schedule. For articles in the research and translation categories, it is expected that they will have been submitted four months prior to the publication date of the journal. Therefore, the deadline for the June issue is March 1st, and for the December issue, it is September 1st. For articles in other categories, it is possible to submit them up to 45 days prior to the publication date. However, following the announcements regarding the journal's article submission dates is recommended. Articles that have not completed the peer-review or editorial review processes by the journal's publication date will be postponed to the next issue.

5. Since the articles submitted to the journal will go through an evaluation process using a double-blind peer review system, no identifying information or information deciphering the name and identity of the author should be included in the articles added to the system. Additionally, file information should be deleted in Word Program (File/Info-Check for Issues - Inspect Document/Document Inspector/Inspect. Remove All).

6. Header-footer entries and page numbers should not be included in the articles submitted to the journal.

7. Although the publication language of the journal is Turkish, articles written in Arabic and English can also be published. Arabic and English articles should be submitted with Turkish translations prepared according to the journal's writing rules. Papers without Turkish translations will not be evaluated.

8. Translated articles should be submitted with their originals, and publications / reviews should be submitted along with the main text.
(Principles of Critical Edition Publicatons)

9. Only one article, either an original work or a translation, by the same author can be published in a particular issue.

10. Within a year, more than one article (research articles) by the same author is not published in consecutive issues.

11. Upon the request of TR Index, qualitative and quantitative research articles are required to have an ethics committee approval document. It is mandatory for authors to upload this document into the system.

12. The editorial board's evaluation determines if the word count exceeds the specified limits. Moreover, a Turkish and English abstract between 150-250 words should be included for copyrighted articles, and a reference list should be provided at the end of the article.
