ANALYSIS OF EUROPEAN UNION REFUGEE INTEGRATION IN ITS DIFFERENT DIMENSIONS

Abstract

The European Union (EU), which focused on economic integration at the beginning of its establishment, has aimed to achieve integration in many other areas over time. The increase in the number of refugees in EU member states, especially since the period after the Syrian Refugee Crisis, has shown how important it is to ensure refugee integration. Based on this need, the EU has increased its efforts, especially in terms of the economy and governance. Despite the current weaknesses experienced by the EU in the field of refugee integration, the success of joint integration has been achieved in terms of politics, political and economic aspects, as a whole EU structure is a subject that needs to be analyzed. In this study, while investigating the refugee integration of EU countries, the question of how successful the EU has been in refugee integration has been sought, and the factors that make refugee integration of the EU difficult have been examined by analyzing countries with higher and lower success rates in different dimensions of integration. The Union's refugee integration, legal, political, economic, and duality dimensions in combating discrimination have been evaluated in the context of integration based on empirical and statistical data. The study is a quantitative study conducted using published data from international independent organizations.

AVRUPA BİRLİĞİ MÜLTECİ ENTEGRASYONUNUN FARKLI BOYUTLARIYLA ANALİZİ

Abstract

Kuruluşunun başlangıcından beri kendi içinde ekonomik entegrasyona odaklanan Avrupa Birliği (AB), zaman içinde diğer birçok alanda entegrasyon sağlamayı hedeflemiştir. Özellikle Suriye Mülteci Krizi sonrası dönemden itibaren, AB üyesi ülkelerdeki mülteci sayısı artışı, mülteci entegrasyonunun sağlanmasının ne kadar önemli olduğunu göstermiştir. Bu ihtiyaca binaen AB özellikle ekonomik ve yönetişim açısından çabalarını artırmıştır. AB’nin mülteci entegrasyonu alanında yaşadığı güncel zafiyetlere rağmen, bütün bir AB yapısı olarak politik, siyasi, yönetişim ve ekonomik açılardan sağladığı ortak bütünleşmenin başarısı ise analiz edilme gerekliliğine sahip bir konudur. Bu çalışmada, AB ülkelerinin mülteci entegrasyonu araştırılırken, AB’nin mülteci entegrasyonu konusunda ne kadar başarılı olup-olmadığı sorusuna cevap aranmış, entegrasyonun farklı boyutlarıyla başarı oranı daha yüksek ve düşük ülkeler arasındaki ilişki analiz edilerek AB’nin mülteci entegrasyonunu zorlaştıran etkenler incelenmiştir. Birliğin mülteci entegrasyonu; hukuki, siyasi ve ekonomik, ayrımcılıkla mücadelede çift yönlülük boyutları ampirik ve istatistik verilere dayalı olarak entegrasyon bağlamında değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışma, uluslararası bağımsız örgütlerin yayımlanmış verilerinden yararlanılarak icra edilmiş bir kantitatif çalışmadır.
