Abstract
Today, boundaries and possibilities digital communication technologies created for social movements are one of the most argued topics in social sciences. In this sense, although hacktivism as a concept is referred, there are few studies in respect of digitizing social movements. For this very reason in this study, within the context of digital communication technologies and social movements, what hacktivism’s specific characteristics are and how will it be positioned in social movements is conceptually discussed

Abstract
Günümüzde, dijital iletişim teknolojilerinin toplumsal hareketler için yarattığı sınırlılıklar ve olanaklar, sosyal bilimlerin sıkça tartışılan konularından biridir. Bu bağlamda hacktivizm kavramına yer verilmekle beraber, dijitalleşen toplumsal hareketler açısından kısıtlı sayıda çalışma söz konusudur. Bu nedenle, bu çalışmada, dijital iletişim teknolojileri ve toplumsal hareketler bağlamında hacktivizmin özgül niteliklerinin neler olduğu ve toplumsal hareketler içerisinde nasıl konumlandırılacağı ele alınarak kavramsal bir tartışma ortaya konmaktadır
