<p>Pelvic fractures are traumas with high mortality and morbidity rates due to the trauma mechanism and energy. Concomitant organ injuries, severity of trauma, head trauma, coagulopathy, advanced age and presence of bleeding are factors that increase mortality. The aim of our study is to determine the demographic characteristics of pelvic fractures and the factors affecting mortality and morbidity. In our study, the patients who applied to the emergency department between 01.01.2011-01.01.2021 and aged 18 years and above with trauma-related pelvis fractures were included in the study. The patients&#039; name-surname, admission number, age, gender, additional diseases, pelvis fracture and type, accompanying pathologies, procedures performed in the emergency department, outcome, length of hospital stay, mortality, type of treatment applied during hospitalization were recorded. Due to the distribution of Tile classification according to age groups, Type 3 fractures are most common in the 18-30 age group, while Type 2 fractures are seen in the age group of 70 and above. When the distribution of Tile classification according to the trauma mechanism is examined, it is seen that Type 2 fractures are the most common in all groups and this rate is highest in patients presenting with a fall. In conclusion, the determination of the relationship between pelvic fractures with age, comorbid disease, energy level of the trauma will contribute in understanding the additional injuries that may develop in patients and the complications that may develop due to these injuries.</p></trans-abstract>
