<p>Metaphor, a deep concept in philosophical, has often been studied in research as a literary matter related to analogy. (Research of Turkish literatüre: mecaz, eğretileme, değişmece, deyim aktarması, istiare etc.). But, the metaphor, with a very wide range of uses, is not just a literary art. The conceptual metaphor view has changed the course of traditional metaphor research. In contemporary metaphor theory, conceptual metaphors and linguistic metaphors are separated from each other. Conceptual metaphors, the product of abstract thought, appear in language as a linguistic metaphor with various examples. For example, TIME IS MONEY is a conceptual metaphor. “You are wasting my time.” is a linguistic metaphor. It is possible to find examples of linguistic metaphor in old Uygur Turkish texts. In this study, linguistic examples of conceptual metaphor of IDEAS ARE RESOURCES in old Uygur Turkish texts belonging to the Manichaean environment were tried to be witnessed. In addition, some polysemy words found in these texts have been approached in terms of metaphorical use.</p></trans-abstract>
