Van ve Yöresindeki Dermatofitozis Şüpheli Sığır, Koyun, Keçi ve Van Kedilerinden Dermatofitlerin İzolasyonu

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, klinik olarak dermatofitozis şüphesi görülen bazı evcil hayvan türlerinden dermatofitlerin
izolasyonu amaçlandı. Toplam 170 evcil hayvanın incelendiği projede, hayvanların 57’sinden (%33.5)
dermatofit türü izole edilirken, 113 (%66.5) hayvandan ise her hangi bir dermatofit türü izole edilmedi.
İncelenen 54 sığırın 18’ü (%33.3), 44 koyunun 8’i (%18.1), 21 keçinin 7’si (%33.3) ve 51 Van kedisinin 24’ü
(%47.1) dermatofit yönünden pozitif bulundu. Dermatofitozis etkeni olarak hayvanların 13’ünden (%22.8)
Trichophyton (T.) verrucosum, 13’ünden (%22.8) T. rubrum, 10’undan (%17.5) Microsporum (M.) gypseum,
9’undan (%15.7) T. tonsurans, 7’sinden (%12.2) M. mentagrophytes, 3’ünden (%5.2) M. canis ve 2’sinde
(%3.5) ise M. nanum üredi. Sonuç olarak, Van ve yöresindeki sığır, koyun, keçi ve Van kedilerinden en yüksek
oranda T. verrucosum and T. rubrum izole edildi.

Isolation of Dermatophytes from Cattle, Sheep, Goats and Van Cats in Van and its Around

Abstract

The goal of this research was to identify the causative agents of dermatophytes in different animal species in Van region. A total of 170 samples of skin scraping and hair obtained from 54 cattle, 44 sheep, 21 goats and 51 Van cats with suspected dermatophytosis were examined for dermatophytes. Of the 170 animals examined 57 (33.5%) were culture positive for dermatophytes. The isolation rates of dermatophyte species from cattle, sheep, goats and Van cats were 33.3% (n: 18), 18.1% (n: 8), 33.3% (n: 7) and 47.1% (n: 24), respectively. Out of 57 strains of dermatophytes isolated, 13 (22.8%) were identified as Trichophyton (T.) verrucosum, 13 (22.8%) were T. rubrum, 10 (17.5%) were Microsporum (M.) gypseum, 9 (15.7%) were T. tonsurans, 7 (12.2%) were M. mentagrophytes, 3 (5.2%) were M. canis and 2 (3.5%) were M. nanum. In conclusion, the most common isolates were T. verrucosum and T. rubrum from the cattle, sheep, goats and Van cats in Van and it’s around
