Abstract
Purpose: It is important to investigate the supplier relations, which are one of the most important elements of the chain and which play an important role in rapidly reaching the production points such as raw materials and semi-finished products, in order to ensure effective operation in the supply chains under intensive risk and to minimize the negative effects of risks. From this point on, the effect of supplier relations on supply chain risks has been tried to be determined.
Methodology: The effect of supplier relations on supply chain risks has been tested with the Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis by using the data collected from the enterprises continuing their production activities in the Organized Industrial Zones in Adıyaman, Kilis and Gaziantep provinces in the TRC1 Region.
Findings: The findings obtained reveal that high level supplier relations have negative and significant effects on supply chain risks.
Originality: The study is important in terms of minimizing the negative effects of supply chain risks on businesses, unlike other studies, it presents supplier relations to businesses as a solution and brings a new perspective to the existing literature on the subject.
