Image of the woman, who appears as a negative type in the written and oral traditions of many societies, is based on her power stemming from the matrilineal period. The image of the bad woman, which is engraved in the subconscious of the man and revealed through artistic-creative activities, appears more prominently in the stories in which bilateral relations come to the fore. Two different stories, selected from Cinani's Bedayi'ü'l-Asar and Azmi’s Kitab-ı Hiyel, are important in terms of seeing both the society's value judgments and the author's approach to this situation with the different images of women they draw. In this article, the reasons for the emergence of social women's perception, its transformation and its effects on Ottoman literature will be examined. The profile of women in this texts will be revealed through two examples of stories selected from Cinani's Bedayi'ü'l Asar and Azmi’s Kitab-ı Hiyel.
