                                                                                                <abstract><p>Toplumsal değişimler müzenin rolünü, felsefe ve uygulama bağlamında değiştirmiş; müze açısından toplumu tanımayı zorunlu kılmıştır. Müze, toplumu tanımak için eser toplama, koruma-onarım, sergi tasarımı, tanıtım ve izleyici geliştirme alanlarında yeni stratejiler geliştirmek zorundadır.  Bu nedenle müzenin varlık amacını ve felsefesini belirlemek, bu doğrultuda içerik oluşturmak ve izleyici geliştirmek, katılıma odaklanan sergi ve sunumlar hazırlamak, farklı yaş ve ilgi gruplarına yönelik eğitim etkinlikleri ve programlar geliştirmek günümüz müzelerinin ortak hedefleri arasındadır. Uluslararası Müzeler Konseyi başta olmak üzere müzecilik adına çalışmalar gerçekleştiren uluslararası kurum, kuruluş ve örgütlerin müze tanımına yaptıkları katkılara gerekçe olarak gösterilebilecek olaylar müzelerin demokratikleşme sürecinde daha eşitlikçi bir toplumun oluşturulmasına katkıda bulunmak amacıyla paylaşımcı ve çeşitliliği gündeme alan uygulamalarla gündeme gelmelerini sağlamaktadır. Çağdaş müzecilik bir yaklaşım olarak müzenin, kamuya açık ve herkesin kolaylıkla fiziksel ve kültürel erişim sağlayabildiği bir alan olmasını gerekli kılar.  Müzeler, tarihsel, sosyal, kültürel ve bilimsel konularda tartışma ortamını yaratabilecek düzeyde insan haklarına saygıyı öne çıkaracak, cinsiyet eşitliğini savunacak ve toplumsal bütünleşmeyi vurgulayacak stratejiler belirlemeye başlayan kurumlar haline gelmektedir. Bu çalışma küreselleşme, hayatın hızla değişen gündemleri, ekonomik gelişmeler, teknolojideki değişimler, COVID 19 salgını vb. unsurların etkisiyle foruma dönüşen ve kabuk değiştirme zorunda kalan müzelerin, kültürel ve doğal mirası korumak, geliştirmek, yaygınlaştırmak, sürdürmek ve değişimlere ayak uyduracak biçimde toplumla birlikte hareket etmek adına topluma ulaşma süreçlerinde kullandıkları yöntemlere odaklanmaktadır.</p></abstract>
