Primary aim of this thesis is investigating expectations from primary school teachers. Research consists of stakeholders in school system such as, school administrators, parents, students and primary school teachers. School administrators, parents and students were asked what they expect from primary school teachers as well as what teachers expect from themselves and which expectations are proving hard to match from their view. Study group in this research is comprise of 17 school administrators, 60 teachers, 405 parents and 446 students who volunteered and are in 7 different districts in Istanbul during 2016-2017 school year.7 schools took part in this research 4 of which are public schools. Research is done with interview forms and data from this forms is analysed with using qualitative analysis method as thematic analysys. School administrators, parents and students defined their expectations from school teachers. School teachers explained their expectations are similar to that of other stakeholders’ however, they shared their views on the subject why they cannot match the expectations. Stakeholders in this research concurred on the subjects of positive role model characteristic, academic success, stakeholder communitation and cooperation, class management – discipline. After analysing the data from research, the most important expectation from a primary school teacher is understood to be Positive Role Model Characteristic.
