Giriş ve Amaç: Pavlik bandajı kalça displazili çocukların tedavisinde, en sık kullanılan tedavi edici cihazdır. Butedavi etkili, düşük maliyetli ve kolay uygulanabilir bir yöntemdir. Bu çalışmada gelişimsel kalça displazisi olançocuklarda pavlik bandajı kullanımının retrospektif olarak incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır.Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışma 01.10.2018-30.12.2018 tarihleri arasında Bozok Üniversitesi Araştırma ve UygulamaHastanesinde gerçekleştirilmiştir. Çalışma verileri 2011-2017 yılları arasında kalça çıkığı şüphesi ile Ortopedi veTravmatoloji polikliniğinde takip edilen 1315 hastanın kayıtlı bilgilerine ulaşılarak toplanmıştır. Veriler sayı veyüzdelik olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Araştırmanın yapılabilmesi için etik kurul onayı ve hastaneden kurum iznialınmıştır.Bulgular: Çalışmada 1315 hastanın retrospektif incelemesi yapılmıştır. Çalışmadan elde edilen verilere görehastaların %84.2’si kız, %44.7’sinin polikliniğe başvurdukları anda 0-3 ay yaş aralığında ve %61.4’ünün tutulumyönünün sol taraf olduğu belirlenmiştir. Hastaların %51.6’sının pavlik bandajı kullandığı, bu hastaların pavlikbandajı kullanımına başladığı yaş ortalamasının 2.74 ± 3.23 ay olduğu saptanmıştır.Sonuç: Gelişimsel Kalça Displazisi’nin risk faktörlerinin erken dönemde tanılanması ve hastanın zamanındauygun polikliniğe yönlendirilmesi oldukça önemlidir. Pavlik bandajı kullanımı ile erken dönem tedavinin başarısıda artırılabilir.
Introduction and Aim: Pavlik harness is the most commonly used therapeutic device for the treatment ofchildren with hip dysplasia. This treatment is effective, low-cost and easy to apply. This study aimed toretrospectively investigate the use of pavlik harness in children with developmental dysplasia of the hip.Methods: The study was conducted in Bozok University Research and Application Hospital between October 1,2018 and December 30, 2018. Data were collected by reaching the records of 1315 patients who had hipdislocation symptoms and who were followed up in the Orthopedics and Traumatology outpatient clinic between2011 and 2017. The data were presented as numbers and percentages. Ethics committee approval and institutionalpermission were obtained from the hospital to conduct the study.Findings: The retrospective analysis of 1315 patients was performed in this study. According to the dataobtained from the study, 84.2% of the patients were girls, and 44.7% were at the age of 0-3 months when theyconsulted the outpatient clinic. Of the patients, 61.4% of them were found to have left-side involvement. It wasrevealed that 51.6% of the patients used pavlik harness and the mean age of these patients was 2.74 ± 3.23months.Conclusion: Early diagnosis of risk factors for developmental dysplasia of the hip and timely referral of thepatient to the appropriate outpatient clinic are highly significant. The success of early treatment can be increasedusing the pavlik harness.
