Amaç: Bu araştırma, hemşirelik birinci sınıf öğrencilerinin ilk klinik uygulama öncesinde yaşadıkları kaygı düzeylerinibelirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır.Materyal ve Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı olarak yapılan araştırmanın evrenini bir üniversitenin hemşirelik bölümünde 2016-2017eğitim öğretim yılı bahar döneminde öğrenim gören ve ilk kez klinik uygulamaya çıkacak 303 birinci sınıf öğrencisioluşturmuştur. Veriler, “Öğrenci Bilgi Formu” ve “Durumluk-Sürekli Kaygı Ölçeği” aracılığı ile toplanmıştır. Araştırmadaörneklem seçimine gidilmemiş ve evrenin tümü örnekleme alınmıştır. Araştırma, 245 öğrenci (%80.8) ile tamamlanmıştır.Araştırma için kullanılan formlar klinik uygulamanın ilk günü, öğrenciler klinik uygulamaya başlamadan önce uygulanmıştır.Bulgular: Öğrencilerin %74.3’ünün klinik uygulamaları sırasında uygulamaktan korktukları girişimlerin olduğu ve%47.3’ünün en çok idrar sondası takmaktan korktukları belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilerin %53.9’unun yaşamaktan korktuğu klinikolayların olduğu ve %40.8’inin en çok yanlış bir uygulama yapmaktan korktukları belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilerin durumluk kaygıpuan ortalamalarının 41.83±6.26 ve sürekli kaygı puan ortalamalarının 60.77±6.30 olduğu bulunmuştur.Sonuç: Birinci sınıf hemşirelik öğrencilerinin ilk klinik uygulamaları öncesinde orta düzeyde kaygı yaşadıkları ve klinikuygulamaya ilişkin korkularının olduğu belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilerin ilk klinik uygulama öncesi kaygı yönünden yakındandeğerlendirilmesi, kaygı yaşama yönünden riskli öğrencilerin belirlenmesi ve bu öğrenciler için klinik öncesi kaygı düzeyleriniazaltıcı önlemlerin alınması önerilebilir.
Aim: In pediatric nurses, to evaluate liking child and humor styles, to examine the relationship between them and determineObjective: The purpose of this study was to determine anxiety levels of freshman nursing students before their first clinicalexperience.Method: The population of this descriptive study consisted of 303 freshman students studying in nursing department of auniversity during the Spring term of 2016-2017 and who will be going to clinical practice for the first time. The data wasobtained using a Student Information Form and State-Trait Anxiety Inventory. A sample was not selected, and instead thewhole population was studied. The study was completed with 245 nursing students (80.8%). The forms were administered onthe first day of clinical practice, before the students started the clinical practice.Results: 74.3% of the students stated that they had applications that they were afraid to perform during clinical practice and47.3% of the students were most afraid from urinary catheter insertions with the rate of. It was determined that 53.9% of thestudents had clinical experiences that they were afraid and 40.8% of the students were most afraid to make the wrongapplication.Conclusion: It was concluded that the first class nursing students had a moderate level of anxiety and fear about clinicalpractice before the first clinical practice. It is recommended to evaluate students closely before clinical practice, identifying thestudents at risk for anxiety and taking measures to reduce preclinical anxiety levels for the students.
