Çalışmada, aynızamanda sosyolojik kavramlar olan kültür, alışkanlık, içgüdü, gösteriştüketiminden yola çıkılarak, Veblen’in iktisat sosyolojisi yaklaşımı elealınacaktır. Bu bağlamda çalışma, sosyal ontoloji temelinde,Veblen’in iktisat sosyolojisinin kavramsal ilişkisel yönüne de dikkat çekmekteve böylece Veblen’in iktisat sosyolojini gözler önüne sermektedir. In this study,Veblen’s economic sociology will be discussed by sociological concepts such asculture, habit, instinct and conspicious consumption. In Veblen&#039;s analysis, it can beargued that the economic sphere is embedded in the social sphere and therelationship between the society and the individual should be taken intoconsideration. This distinctive feature of social ontology is a result ofVeblen&#039;s methodology. Within this frame, the study draws attention to theconceptual relationality aspect of Veblen&#039;s economic sociology on the basis ofsocial ontology and thus reveals Veblen&#039;s economic sociology. Keywords: Economic Sociology ofVeblen, Social ontology, relationality.</p>
