Melatonin’in Pasifik Beyaz Karidesi, Litopenaeus vannamei (Boone 1931)’nin Kabuk değişimi, Büyüme ve Et kompozisyonu üzerine etkileri

Abstract

Bu çalışmada 0, 1, 3 ve 5 mg/kg düzeyinde yemlere ilave edilen melatonin’in L. vannamei jüvenillerinin büyüme, yaşama, yem değerlendirme, kabuk değiştirme ve vücut madde bileşenleri üzerine etkisi araştırılmıştır. 1m çapa ve 1,2 m yüksekliğe sahip tanklara 1,36 g ortalama ağırlığa sahip L. vannamei yavrularından 25 adet stoklanmış ve deneme 3 tekerrürlü olacak şekilde kurgulanmıştır. 120 gün süren araştırma sonunda yaşama oranının % 59-60 arasında değiştiği belirlenmiştir. 1 mg/kğ düzeyinde melatonin katkılı yemlerle beslenen karideslerin ortalama canlı ağırlık kazancı, dönemsel canlı ağırlık kazancı, günlük canlı ağırlık kazancı kontrol grubu ile benzer bulunurken (P>0,05), Kabuk değiştirme sayıları ve yem değerlendirme oranları ise daha iyi bulunmuştur (P<0.05). Özellikle yüksek düzeyde melatonin katkılı gruplarda yağ oranı daha düşük bulunmuştur (P<0.05). Sonuç olarak yemlere 1 mg/kg düzeyinde melatonin ilavesinin kabuk değişimini uyardığı ancak büyümenin uyarılması konusunda net bir sonuç ortaya çıkmadığı belirlenmiştir.
