Gemi Teknolojisinde Alternatif Enerji Sistemlerinin Kullanım Potansiyelinin İncelenmesi

Gemiler, küresel ticaretin yaklaşık %80’ini gerçekleştirmektedir. Bu oran, denizcilik sektörünün dünya

ticaretinde önemli bir paya sahip olduğunun en önemli göstergesidir. Ticaret hacminin artması ile yeni

gemiler sisteme dâhil edilecek, daha fazla yakıt tüketilecek ve daha fazla emisyon yayılacaktır. Bu

nedenle, Uluslararası Denizcilik Örgütü (IMO) gemilerden kaynaklı olumsuz etkileri azaltmak ve enerji

tasarruf potansiyellerini ortaya çıkarmak amacıyla enerji verimliliği faaliyetlerine dikkat çekmekte ve

sektörü bu konuda teşvik etmektedir.

Bu çalışmada, yakıt tüketimini azaltmak ve egzoz gazı emisyonlarını minimum seviyeye indirmek için

gemilerde güneş ve rüzgâr gibi yenilenebilir enerji kaynakları ile kıyıdan enerji temini gibi alternatif

enerji kaynaklarının kullanılmasına yönelik çalışmalar incelenmiştir. Gemi teknolojisinde alternatif

enerji sistemlerinin kullanımına yönelik güncel bilgiler verilmiştir. Ayrıca, yeni nesil gemi tasarımlarına

ve projelere değinilerek denizcilik sektörü temsilcilerinin gelecek öngörülerine katkı sunulması

amaçlanmıştır.
