The Effect of Different Sowing Dates to Leaf Area Index in Some Common Vetch Varieties
Bazı Adi Fiğ Çeşitlerinde Farklı Ekim Tarihlerinin Yaprak Alan İndeksine Etkisi

The aim of this article was to research the effect of different sowing dates on the leaf area index (LAI) of common vetch varieties growing in arid conditions. The experiment was conducted during 2014 - 2015 growing season in Igdir with arid climate. In study, Bakır-2001, Dicle, Emir, Gülhan-2005 and Nilüfer varieties were sown six different dates (E1:1 October 2014, E2: 16 October 2014, E3: 31 October 2014, E4: 15 March 2015, E5: 1 April 2015 and E6: 16 April 2015), and their LAI were measured by the tool of CI-202 at the stage of full seed filling of lower pods on plant. Results showed that the LAI differed significantly in terms of variety, sowing date and variety x sowing date interaction. Among varieties, the highest LAI was determined in Dicle and Nilüfer, but the lowest values in Emir and Bakır-2001. In reasearch, while maximum LAI was obtained from E1 time (6.22), minimum vales were measured at E6 (0.87). In respect of variety x sowing date interaction, the highest LAI was determined in Nilüfer and Dicle grown in early fall season (E1), but the lowest value in all varieties growing in summer sowing (E6). According to these results, significant decreases were seen in LAI by delay of sowing dates depending on environmental conditions, and Dicle and Nilüfer were determined as least affected varieties by low rainfall and high temperature in terms of LAI.

Bu makalenin amacı kurak şartlarda yetiştirilen adi fiğ çeşitlerinin yaprak alan indeksi (YAI) üzerine farklı ekim tarihlerinin etkisini incelemektir. Deneme 2014 - 2015 yetiştirme döneminde kurak iklim özelliği gösteren Iğdır ilinde yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada Bakır-2001, Dicle, Emir, Gülhan-2005 ve Nilüfer çeşitleri, 6 farklı ekim döneminde (E1:1 Ekim 2014, E2: 16 Ekim 2014, E3: 31 Ekim 2014, E4: 15 Mart 2015, E5: 1 Nisan 2015 ve E6: 16 Nisan 2015) ekilmiş ve ot için hasat dönemi olan bitkilerdeki alt baklaların tamamen dolduğu devrede yaprak alan ölçer cihazı ile (CI-202) YAI’leri belirlenmiştir. Sonuçlar YAI üzerine çeşit, ekim tarihi ve çeşit x ekim tarihi interaksiyonun önemli etkisi olduğunu göstermiştir. Çeşitler arasında en yüksek YAI Dicle ve Nilüfer çeşidinde, en düşük değerler Emir ve Bakır-2001 çeşidinde belirlenmiştir. Ekim zamanları arasında maksimum YAI, E1 döneminde (6.22), minimum değerler E6 (0.87) döneminde ölçülmüştür. Çeşit x ekim tarihi interaksiyonu açısından ise en yüksek YAI, erken güz döneminde ekilen (E1) Nilüfer ve Dicle çeşitlerinde tespit edilmiştir. Oysa en düşük YAI değerleri tüm çeşitlerde E6 dönemi olan yazlık ekimlerde gerçekleşmiştir. Bu sonuçlara göre, çevresel koşullara bağlı olarak ekim tarihlerinin gecikmesi ile (özellikle yazlık ekimlerde) YAI’lerinde önemli düşüşler görülmüş, Dicle ve Nilüfer YAI açısından düşük yağış ve yüksek sıcaklıktan en az etkilenen çeşitler olmuştur.
