Hemşirelik Bölümü Son Sınıf Öğrencilerinin Eşcinsellere Yönelik Tutumu

Öz

Özet

Amaç: Bu araştırmanın amacı Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi
Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi Hemşirelik Bölümü son sınıf öğrencilerinin
eşcinsellere ilişkin tutumlarını incelemektir.



Yöntem: Bu kesitsel tipteki çalışma, Türkiye’nin Samsun
şehrinde bulunan Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi’nde
eğitim gören 102 hemşirelik son sınıf öğrencisi ile yapılmıştır. Araştırma
verileri Kasım 2016-Aralık 2016 tarihleri arasında toplanmıştır. Çalışmada
araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan ve 19 maddeden oluşan anket ile Lezbiyen
ve Geylere Yönelik Tutum (LGYT) Ölçeği- Kısa Versiyon kullanılmıştır. Veriler
IBM SPSS Statistic 20 ile analiz edilmiştir. Analizde tanımlayıcı testler,
t-testi ve kullanılmıştır.



Bulgular: Katılımcıların % 72.5’i kadından oluşmaktadır.
Öğrencilerin % 84.3’ü eşcinsellik hakkında fikirlerinin olduğunu, % 15.7’si
eşcinsellik hakkında bilgilerinin olmadığını belirtmiştir.  Eşcinsellerin sağlığı hakkında katılımcıların
% 49’u yeterli bilgi sahibi olmadığını yine katılımcıların % 31.4’ü lisans
eğitimlerinde ilgili konuya değinilmediğini belirtmişlerdir. Erkek hemşirelik
öğrencilerinin kadınlara göre eşcinsellere yönelik daha fazla olumsuz tutum
besledikleri saptanmıştır.



Sonuç
ve Öneriler:
Araştırma
sonucunda, Dünya’da dezavantajlı gruplar içinde gösterilen eşcinsellere yönelik
hemşirelik öğrencilerinin bilgi seviyelerinin yeterli düzeyde olmadığı ve
yanlış bilgilere sahip olduğu görülmektedir. Hemşirelik öğrencilerinin eşcinsel
bireylere yönelik farkındalık kazanmaları ve olumlu bir tutum takınmaları için
bu bireylere yönelik eğitimlerin verilmesi faydalı olacaktır.
