Focus and Scope

Selcuk Dental Journal, emphasizes the publication of innovative and high-quality article in the field of dentistry. Accepted articles are required to be based on the scientific standards and ethical values. The journal publishes original research articles, case presentations, review articles and letters to the editor on dentistry, covering basic and clinical sciences.

Peer Review Process
The articles prepared and submitted in accordance with the publication guidelines are subjected to preliminary assessment by the editor. As a result of the editor's preliminary assessment, the article which is not missing in terms of writing and publishing guidelines is presented to the editorial board. As a result of the evaluation of the editorial board, it can be decided whether the article is evaluated or not processed by the scientific advisory board members. The article decided to be processed by the editorial board is sent to be evaluated at least two reviewers determined among the scientific advisory board members. The reviewers may propose to accept as it is, correct or reject the article. The article will be accepted only if a positive report is received from the reviewers and if the reviewers' requested corrections are fulfilled. If there is no consensus between the reviewers, the article will be sent a new reviewer to be evaluated. The final decision is made by the editor, considering the reviewer evaluations.

Publication Frequency

Selcuk Dental Journal is published three issues per year.

Open Access Policy

The journal is an Open Access journal in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI) definition. Open Access meant that "[refereed scientific literature] may be freely accessible, readable, downloadable, copied, distributed, printed, scanned, linked to full text, indexed, transferred as a recordable data and used for various legal purposes via the Internet without financial, legal and technical barriers.

Publication Ethics Policy

Selcuk Dental Journal accepts the Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
