AB  - Bil ki kelamcılar varlığın kısımlarını ayrıntılı bir şekilde belirlememişlerdir.Onların, bu konudaki görüşleri şöyledir: “Var olan; başlangıcı olan ve başlangıcı olmayan diye iki alt kısma ayrılır. Yine başlangıcı olanlar da “töz” (cevher) ve“ilinti” (araz) diye iki alt kısma ayrılır.” Onlar “töz”den; sınırıyla, benzer birtözün, kendisiyle aynı yerde bulunmasını engelleyen “uzayda yer kaplayanşeyi” (mütehayyiz), “ilinti”den ise; “uzayda yer kaplayan”la var olan şeyi kastettiler. Onlar, uzayda yer kaplamayan bir tözün varlığı ile uzayda yer kaplayanbir şeyle var olmayan bir ilintinin varlığını1 imkânsız gördüler. Birinci bölümleme, üzerinde birleşilen öz (zat), zaman, mekân ve şeref bakımından önceliğinanlamı üzerinde zıtlık ve karşıtlık şartlarına riayet edildiği takdirde ispat veolumsuzlama arasında gidip gelen doğru bir görüştür
