AB  - Bu makalede ilk olarak, ulusal ve uluslararası yüksek öğretim derecelendirme sistemlerinintarihi gelişimi, ortaya çıkış nedenleri, derecelendirmede esas alınan amaç, yöntem ve ölçütlerortaya konmakta ardından da ulusal ve uluslararası yüksek öğretim derecelendirme sistemlerinin,derecelendirmede kullandıkları yöntem, amaç ve ölçütler değerlendirilmektedir. Böylece sözkonusu sistemlerin, güçlü ve zayıf yönleriyle daha yakından tanınmaları, anlaşılmaları hedeflenmektedir.Son olarak çalışmamızda, söz konusu değerlendirmeler ışığında Türkiye üniversitelerineözgü bir takım durumları da göz önüne alarak üniversitelerimizin gelişimini ölçümlemeve derecelendirme ile ilgili öneriler getirilmektedir.
