Increasing the output with increasing demand has significantly amplified the market competition. Firms need to keep pace with changes in order to survive in this competition. While these changes can be a major problem depending on the style of the company’s management, the worktops in the production phase may not be able to keep up with technological developments. There may be multiple situations, such as employees not being happy with the average time of work or the waste of time in production process. In this context, improvements and bottleneck activities are critical and possibly inconspicuous. Firms must continually identify bottlenecks and investigate the root cause behind them. These investigations should be conducted by a qualified team performing several stages, such as mapping the process, scheduling the timeline, and so on. Improving bottlenecks and problems with continuous work ensures that the firm gets the most out of its operations with minimal effort and costs, such as inventory control, cost calculation, quality control, and more. This study outlines bottleneck, lean manufacturing, and improvement and includes mathematical modeling of the improvement study based on an automotive company’s data.}, number={35}, publisher={Osman SAĞDIÇ}
